Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect only what we need to run Markazer. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your content stays yours. You can download or delete everything in one click at any time. The rest of this page lists every company we share data with by name, what they do, and where they are based.

1. What we collect

  • Account info: your name, email address, and password (hashed with bcrypt) when you sign up.
  • Business info: your business name, industry, website URL, description, target audience, and brand details that you enter to personalize your experience.
  • Content you create: marketing copy, emails, ads, campaign plans, leads, customer journeys, and anything else you build on the platform.
  • Usage data: which features you use and how often, so we can track your plan limits and improve the product.
  • Payment info: stored and processed by Razorpay. Markazer servers do not store your card details directly. We retain a Razorpay customer identifier and a tokenized card reference so we can charge you on the schedule you agreed to.
  • Acceptance records: the timestamp of your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy acceptance, captured at signup.
  • Technical logs: IP address, browser type, and request timestamps are recorded transiently for rate limiting, security monitoring, and debugging. These logs are pruned after 30 days unless tied to a security incident.

2. How we use it

  • Run the platform and deliver the features you use
  • Generate AI content tailored to your business
  • Send transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts, security alerts)
  • Track usage against your plan limits
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and automated bot signups
  • Run automated content moderation on text you submit (see section 5)
  • Fix bugs, monitor errors, and improve the product
  • Communicate important updates about your account or the service

3. Subprocessors we share data with

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We share specific data with the following service providers solely to operate Markazer. Each is named below with the data they receive and where they are based.

Razorpay Software Private Limited

India

Purpose: Payment processing, card tokenization, and subscription billing.

Data shared: Your name, email, business name, payment instrument tokens, and transaction history.

Vercel Inc.

United States

Purpose: Application hosting, edge functions, and blob file storage (for media uploads such as content images).

Data shared: All data your browser sends to Markazer transits Vercel infrastructure. Media you upload is stored in Vercel Blob in encrypted form.

United States

Purpose: Managed PostgreSQL database hosting.

Data shared: Your account, business, content, and billing records are stored in Neon-hosted databases. Data is encrypted at rest.

Anthropic PBC

United States

Purpose: Claude AI for content generation, strategy analysis, and other AI features.

Data shared: The prompts you submit and the business context required to fulfill each request are sent to Anthropic. Anthropic states that data processed via its API is not used to train its models. We do not send your payment information, password, or account credentials.

Cloudflare Inc.

United States

Purpose: Turnstile CAPTCHA verification at signup. Only enabled if you see a captcha widget. No tracking cookies.

Data shared: A short-lived verification token, your IP, and basic browser fingerprint used solely to confirm you are not a bot.

Resend Inc.

Data shared: Your email address and the body of each transactional email we send you. No marketing email is sent through Resend.

frankfurter.app (European Central Bank data)

European Union

Purpose: USD-to-INR exchange rate data used to display foreign-currency pricing.

Data shared: No personal data is sent. Markazer's server makes anonymous requests for the daily exchange rate.

We may add or change subprocessors. We will update this list within thirty days of any change. Continued use of Markazer after a change indicates acceptance of the updated list.

4. International data transfers

Several of our subprocessors are based in the United States. By using Markazer you agree that your data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in any country where our subprocessors operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms with each subprocessor to protect personal data transferred internationally. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you object to international transfer, contact us at support@markazer.com.

5. Automated moderation and filtering

To keep the platform safe and to prevent automated misuse of AI features, certain user inputs are run through automated checks before processing. This includes:

  • Profanity and slur detection on display names, business names, and prompts you submit for AI generation
  • Rate limiting on signups, logins, and AI requests
  • Pattern detection on AI-generated output to flag content that appears to violate platform rules

These checks run server-side and are entirely automated. No human reviews your content unless you explicitly request support assistance or unless we are required to investigate a reported policy violation.

6. AI and your content

When you use AI features, your input (prompts, business details, brand information) is sent to our AI subprocessor (Anthropic) to generate results.

  • Your content is not used to train AI models
  • AI-generated output belongs to you
  • We retain the inputs and outputs you generate so you can revisit them in your dashboard. You can delete them individually or in bulk through the platform.
  • If you delete your account, the inputs and outputs are deleted as well.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the platform to function. Specifically: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a cookie set by Razorpay when you complete a payment. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that profile you across the web.

8. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt at twelve rounds. All connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Databases are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and audited. That said, no system is one hundred percent secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through Settings › Privacy and Account, the following happens:

  • Your user profile, business records, generated content, campaigns, brand assets, and subscription data are removed from our active databases immediately.
  • Any active Razorpay subscription is cancelled automatically.
  • Encrypted database backups are retained for up to thirty days for disaster recovery and are then overwritten.
  • A small deletion record (your email address and the timestamp of deletion) is retained for up to seven years to comply with Indian tax and anti-money-laundering law and to defend against fraudulent chargebacks. No other personal information is retained.

10. Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and applicable privacy law you have the right to:

  • Access and correct your personal information through your account settings.
  • Port your data: download a complete JSON copy of everything we have about you via Settings › Privacy and Account › Download my data.
  • Delete your account and personal data at any time via Settings › Privacy and Account › Delete my account.
  • Object to specific processing activities by contacting us at support@markazer.com.
  • Opt out of any non-essential email.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have mishandled your data.

11. Children

Markazer is a business tool for adults. We are not designed for anyone under eighteen and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at support@markazer.com and we will remove it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves or as the law changes. If we make material changes (for example, adding a new subprocessor, expanding what data we collect, or changing retention periods) we will notify you by email and through the platform at least thirty days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of Markazer after the effective date indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
